About Me
Hi! I'm Robin, I'm a queer trans man, Rigger, Animator, and Illustrator from the UK. I can't resit the allur of visual story-telling, character design, comics, and making art, art art!
I graduated Animation & VFX at Falmouth University in Cornwall, studied for a Masters at Arts University Bournemouth, and I have completed the ToonBoom Advanced Rigging Course and Animation and Rigging in CelAction2D. After University
I worked as an English Language Tutor in Tokyo, Japan, and worked various Odd Jobs.
I previously worked as a Tie-Down Artist for Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, and have worked as a freelance illustrator over the years.
When I'm not found reading up on animation, I can be found drawing, when I'm not found drawing I can be found... drawing some more, and finally when I can't draw any more I can be found making crafts through cosplay and knitting. If I'm doing none of those things, then I'm likely reading queer feminist theory and psychology.
At an early age I came by animation blogs, and my heart has been hooked ever since. I adore pitch bibles and making them for little personal projects. I particularly like to thematically and symbolically explore stories of developing queer identites, acceptance, and exploring growing up neuro-divergent with mental health conditions, as these are the stories I needed growing up. While I draw a variety of things, I believe the core of what I like to explore is emotion. I want to be a part of making stories that stick with people the same way stories have stuck with me.
